How-to Download files from Shopify or Etsy

After purchasing a set of files from us you will be sent a link to download the images you just purchased.  When you click download the files will be downloaded to your “Downloads” folder.  The folder will be a zipped/compressed file due to the limitations of number of files and file size.

If you select the images folder and right click on it with your mouse and select “Extract All…” and select a location to extract them

You will now have two folders one compressed and one normal “File Folder”.

When you go into your Images file folder, we will now see all the file types you have purchased.

If you have not set your file extension view it may be difficult to see which files you want.  Select View > Show > File Name Extensions

Your files will now have their file extension type

You can also right click on the title bar and select Type

This will now give you the file type.  Be cautious that SVG file types on some systems will come up as a Microsoft Edge blue/green wave icon.  This SVG is a vector file that is often used in graphic design and Cricut Design Space

File Types:

SVG:  This is the file we use most often with Cricut Design Space as it allows resizing without loss of resolution.  An SVG file is a Scalable Vector Graphics file, which is an XML-based vector image format. It's designed for two-dimensional graphics on the web and supports interactivity and animation. Unlike raster images (like JPEGs or PNGs), SVGs don't lose resolution when scaled because they are based on mathematical equations rather than pixels.

PNG:  A PNG (Portable Network Graphic) file is a type of raster image file, widely used on the internet and in various applications. PNG files are known for their lossless compression, meaning they retain all original image data without quality loss during compression. They also support transparency, making them ideal for graphics with transparent backgrounds, like logos and icons.

JPG:  A JPG, also known as JPEG, is a widely used image file format that employs lossy compression to reduce file size, making it ideal for sharing and storing digital photos and images online.

DFX:  A .dxf file is a type of CAD file, specifically known as the Drawing Exchange Format.   It's a vector file format developed by Autodesk to facilitate data exchange between different CAD programs, especially between AutoCAD and other software.

EPS:  An EPS file, which stands for Encapsulated PostScript, is a vector-based file format primarily used for storing images, text, and designs, especially for high-quality printing. It's a versatile format that can contain both vector and raster data, allowing for scalability and editing with compatible software.
